9.30 – Doors open

9.40 – Child registration The children are welcomed into school, they self-register, becoming aware of their own name, and discuss what day it is and the weather.

9.50 – Adult-led activities and play which is influenced by children’s interests and term topics.

10.30 – Snack time We all use the bathroom and wash hands ready for snack. Children are encouraged to try the snack of the day and to serve themselves, encouraging fine motor skills, social skills and turn taking. This is a great opportunity to talk to the children about the snack and where the food has come from.

10.45 – Activities (continued) and garden time The children go outside in small groups to play games or use the physical equipment. When ratios allow, we often visit the local park for a nature walk, or use the play area.

12.25 – We say goodbye to our friends who are going home.

12.30 – Home time / afternoon session starts

12.40 – Lunch time We all use the bathroom and wash hands ready for our lunch.

1.20 – Child-led activities encouraging children’s voice, collaboratively working together to choose what they would like to play with.

2.25 – Saying goodbye to each other

2.30 – Home time
